sea world

Sea World Adventure was the activity of the day.

We went with Michelle's brother Brett, sister in law Holly, and their kids. We checked out the shows with Shamu, the dolphins, and of course the sea lions Clyde and Seamore.

Josh's favorite part of the day was feeding the dolphins, the sea lions, and seals. He even fed a bird who stole the fish right of his hand.

We were exhausted by the end of the day. Mims sat down to rest while Josh and I monkeyed around on the playground.

Would I pay the $175 for all of us to get in again? Probably not, but we did have a good time. We stopped at the Carlsbad outlets and I found 2 pairs of my favorite boyfriend jeans. YEAH! We have 2 more full days and beach time and more sun is on the agenda for me.

bring on the shopping!

Today was a shopping day! We decided to go to Laguna Beach and check out the shops. Josh loves the candy store and of course the toy store. I just like them all!

We stopped for a picture with ' the greeter', a walk on the beach, and a few others.
Lunch was at Jon's Fish Market a yummy yummy place for fish and chips!

We ended the day at the beach. Josh is a total surf bum and has so much fun boogie boarding.

Sea World tomorrow...I can't wait!

beach day

Today was a day about the sun, the water, and relaxing. We started with a donut from SK's, a favorite and must stop for the Monsen crew. Then, we headed to the beach!

After a long, fun day soaking up the sun, we came back to the condo and grilled up some steaks. The boys played on the patio while we cooked. Can't wait for tomorrow!

time to play!

It is vacation time...YIPPEE! We are off with the Monsen troops to Oceanside California for sun and relaxation. Josh and I were so excited we had to stop for a picture at the airport.

First stop was at the swap meet in Newport. We found lunch, cheap beach toys, an army hat, and of course the Ohio State flag in honor of our friend Diane Cobey. Go Buckeyes!
Then the drive to the beach house in Oceanside. Josh was exhausted and took a nap.
We got settled...and then off to Costco to fill the place with yummy food...

We ended our day with a walk over to the beach. It is absolutely gorgeous! And Josh just couldn't wait another second to play in the sand and the water.
The sun getting ready to set and the amazing shimmer it gives the waves is my very favorite time and part of the ocean. I love the sun, but I love the calm closing of the day a sunset brings. Yeah for 6 more nights of this!

Oh and I was kept updated on the Utes first home game against UNLV. Thanks to all my people for keeping me in the loop! (And sending me pictures to help me feel like I was at the game.) The Utes pulled out at 42-21 win to help redeem the shutout they encountered last year.
GO UTES!

happy tuesday

Tuesday is the our play day and I unfortunately have been sick in bed for the last few days. However, I didn't want to disappoint Josh. My friends were going golfing this afternoon, so I decided to take Josh to hit a few balls on the driving range with them before their tee time.

Josh decided he should golf the entire 9 holes and jumped in the cart with Denice. They sent me home and back to bed and kept Josh for the round.
Not to bad of a swing!

Josh, Denice, Kelly, Deanne, Steph, Marilynn, Vicki Gus, and JoyLynn then all went to Chili's for some grub. Michelle and I met up with them there. Josh had a great time on his play date with all his girlfriends. I have amazing friends!
